We were a little busier this month and saw 16 dogs off to their new homes as well as 3 cats. One dog was placed with one of our lovely rescue helpers and we were especially pleased to see Elkie find a new home after waiting patiently for a good few weeks.
We’ve seen Elkie a couple of times since she was adopted and she’s doing really well in her new home!
Things are getting a bit busier in the kennels now but thankfully the number of dogs and cats needing homes is staying fairly low. This month we found new homes for 14 dogs, one of which was kindly given a place by one of our rescue friends. We also placed 10 cats with their new forever families.
Please note that we have no plans to allow general unplanned visiting as lockdown restrictions ease in the next few weeks and months.
Instead, we will continue to follow our current rehoming procedure for the foreseeable future.
ALL of the dogs and cats that we have looking for new homes can be found on either of their ‘looking for new homes’ page. This will be kept up to date, so if you see a pet on the page and it doesn’t say otherwise, we are accepting applications for that pet.
We will continue to be here answering the phones for any enquiries you may have but the only way to potentially view a dog or adopt an animal will be through our online procedure.
The way we work is always under review, so if this changes we will post further notifications.
This month we are very pleased that 11 dogs and 9 cats were adopted into their new forever homes. We also placed a further 6 dogs with other rescues to give them the best chance of finding suitable homes.
As expected, due to having to suspend rehoming with the latest lockdown, adoptions were quiet this month, but we still managed to find new homes for 2 dogs and 1 cat, as well as securing a rescue space for another dog.
