‘Benny’ 8 and a half year old male Doberman. Benny came to us originally as his owner got a full time job and didn’t have time for him. He can be a little nervous when he first meets you but is friendly when he gets to know you. He has been adopted twice now, but had to be returned. Firstly, through no fault of his own as the owners landlord changed their mind about allowing them to keep Benny. This family were very upset about having to return him. In his latest adopted home he was reported to be nervous and scared by sudden movement/loud noises, which we had advised, and he had not been clean in the home. However, the first adopter had told us he settled very well and was brilliant with her autistic daughter (14 years old), as well as getting along with the cats in the home and being good on walks, apart from sometimes getting a little over-excited when coming across other dogs. He did have a couple of accidents in the house at night but this is most likely down to needing more settling time due to all of the change he’s had in his life recently. He needs a home where someone can be with him all of the time and please bear in mind that he will need some time to get used to his new home and family. We were told he can be food obsessed though this has not been reported as a problem in the homes we have placed him.
